AAdvantage members have donated more than $1.5 million to national parks through American's Proud Partner program.
National parks have been called 'America's best idea,' and it's a great idea to set aside the country's most precious natural, cultural, and historic places for public education, enjoyment, and enrichment. For several years, American Airlines has been partnering with the National Park Foundation, National Park Service, and AAdvantage members, developing new ways to help preserve the parks for tomorrow, while providing their best customers with tangible benefits today.
In November 2000, American becameone of five inaugural Proud Partners of America's National Parks. The Proud Partner program is an initiative of the National Park Foundation, the congressionally chartered nonprofit partner of America's National Parks, whose mission is to strengthen the en- during connection between the American people and their national parks by raising private funds, making strategic grants, creating innovative partnerships, and increasing public awareness.
During the past two years, AAdvantage members have donated more than $1.5 million to the parks through the Proud Partner program.
The National Park Foundation puts AAdvantage members' gifts to work in immediate, practical ways to enhance our parks.
