United Airlines joins the American Cancer Society in a move to comfort kids undergoing cancer treatment in hospitals across the country. For each $50 donation or contribution of 7,500 Mileage Plus miles to the American Cancer Society, an oversized plush Gund teddy bear will be delivered to a hospitalized child. The limited-edition 17-inch teddy bear is named Kenny Hugyou (can-he-hug-you) and if you make a donation of $250 or more, a second teddy bear will be sent to your home.
You can make your tax-deductible donation by Dec. 31, 2007. All of the bears will be delivered in February.
