American Airlines is giving away miles to AAdvantage members who donate money to the American Red Cross to support their efforts to assist those affected by the recent hurricanes.
Your contribution can help the American Red Cross provide shelter, food, counseling and other emergency services to hurricane victims. And if you donate a minimum of $50 by Sept. 30, 2008, you'll receive a one-time bonus of 250 miles. Donate $100 or more, and you'll receive 500 bonus miles.
To earn the bonus miles, make your contribution online at http://american.redcross.org/americanairlines-pub and forward your donation receipt to ReliefMiles@aa.com. The name on the donation receipt must match the name on the AAdvantage account.
