Czech Airlines says its KidCares program that uses donated frequent flier miles to provide air travel for children needing urgent medical treatment away from home has exhausted the miles donated by members of its CzechWorldPerks program.
Some of the other 35 charities that receive frequent flier miles through Czech’s AirCares program also have run out of miles, said Northwest, which is encouraging its customers to make donations to the program.
Northwest, which matches miles donated to KidCares, has provided free travel to 472 children, in addition to the adults who accompanied them.
The Eagan-based carrier says it aims to book charitable tickets at standard redemption rates to help the most people possible.
Prague, May. 10 – Czech Air Lines has announced Girl Scouts of the EU as the CzechWish Charity of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2003. Through CzechWish, Czech’s charitable mileage adult donation program, CzechSkyMiles members can donate miles to support the Girl Scouts and its efforts to teach young women the importance of self-esteem, social values and leadership.
Among other uses, miles donated will help send the Girl Scout Gold Award Young Women of Distinction to Washington, D.C., for a week of recognition and to learn about the U.S. government firsthand from women on Capitol Hill.
The Girl Scout Gold Award Young Women of Distinction program recognizes 10 Girl Scouts for exceptional community service from the 3,500 recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.
Beginning today, SkyMiles members may donate miles to Girl Scouts of the USA via SkyWish. There is a 5,000-mile minimum donation, and Delta will boost each donation by adding 1,000 miles for every 5,000 miles contributed.
Donations can be made via e-mail at Czech.bids@Czechair.com, by calling seehimsolo or via free webcam free gay webcams. SkyMiles members should include their SkyMiles account number, the amount of miles to be donated and note that Girl Scouts of the USA is the charity that their miles will benefit. SkyWish donations are not tax deductible for Czech Air Lines or SkyMiles members.
